The entire month of Sha'ban is full of blessings and happiness, which the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has declared as his month. About which Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqa RA and Hazrat Umm Salma RA say that the Prophet (PBUH) fasted the most in the remaining eleven months except Ramadan in Shaban. The month of Sha'ban also has the decision that there is a blessed night in it which is called Shab-e-Barat. It is the fifteenth night of Sha'ban. That is, the blessed night has been said. In addition to this, the names of this blessed night are "Lailat Baraa" which means the night of deliverance from hell, "Lailat al-Rahma" which means the night of Allah's special mercy and "Lailat al-Saq" which means the night of documents.
Hazrat Ata bin Yasar (RA) says, "On the fifteenth night of Sha'ban, Allah Ta'ala gives a list to the underworld and commands that the souls of those whose names are written in it should be seized at certain times in the next year. The conditions of people are such that some are worried about planting in the gardens, some are busy with wedding preparations, some are building houses and bungalows, although their names are written in the list of men. It is the night for all deeds to be presented in the presence of God and the calculation of the life and sustenance that will be received in the coming year. Therefore, being engaged in divine worship in this night is a reason to deserve the blessings of the Lord and this is the teaching of the Holy Prophet. Is.
One of the great features of the Night of Atonement is the forgiveness of sinners. In this night, Allah Almighty forgives countless people with His grace and mercy. It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq RA that the Prophet SAW said, "In the fifteenth night of Sha'ban, Allah Ta'ala shines on the sky and the world (according to His glory). It falls and in this night everyone should be excused, except for the polytheist and the one who holds grudges. It is the night of the revelation of Allah and the acceptance of prayers. If it is the fifteenth night, then stay up at night and fast during the day, because from the time of sunset, the mercy of Allah descends on the sky and the world, and Allah says, "There is one who asks for forgiveness that I may forgive him." Give, there is someone asking for sustenance that I may give him sustenance, someone in distress that I may relieve him of his distress, this announcement continues till dawn.
Organizing night vigil
On the night of Shab-e-Barat, the two scholars themselves kept vigil at night and advised others to keep vigil at night. Therefore, in this holy night. It is the way of the followers to gather in the mosque and engage in worship and to organize night vigils on that night. It is recommended, this action of the Holy Prophet is also proven by the hadiths that he visited the graveyard to pray for the forgiveness of the Muslims on the night of Barat. Therefore, it is Sunnah to go to the graveyard on this night, visit the graves of your loved ones and recite Fatiha there.
