Senator Faisal Javed is also among the injured, besides Hamid Nasir Chatta's son Ahmed Chatta and Chaudhry Muhammad Yusuf are also injured. It is being told that Ahmed Chatta's condition is critical.
Now the response of the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) department of Pakistan Army has also come out on this incident.
In a statement released by ISPR, it has been said that the incident of firing near Long March in Gujranwala is highly condemnable. Chairman PTI prays for the speedy recovery of Imran Khan, prays for the person killed in the firing and the injured.
ISPR says that they are praying for the speedy recovery of all the injured including Imran Khan in the incident.
PTI workers have started protests across the country against the assassination attack on Imran Khan. Shortly after the attack, activists have come out on the streets in Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, other cities of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Karachi.
PTI Lahore has directed the workers to reach Liberty Chowk, workers have also come out on the streets in Gujarat against the alleged assassination attack on Imran Khan.
Traffic was blocked on the GT Road due to the protest in Gujarat, while the angry workers are shouting slogans against the government, Interior Minister, Asif Zardari.
PTI has announced a dharna in different areas of Karachi.
In Karachi, the protest of workers has started on Shariah Faisal, Landhi, North Karachi, Maripur Road, Quaidabad, Five Star Chowrangi, Moach Goth, Korangi and National Highway, as a result of which traffic has been suspended.
At Shahdara Chowk in Lahore, Tehreek-e-Insaf workers blocked the highway by setting tires on fire, PTI workers protested and shouted slogans at Liberty Chowk.
Apart from this, protests were also held in front of Shadman, Ferozepur Road and Shaukat Khanum Hospital.
It should be noted that Imran Khan is undergoing treatment in Shaukat Khanum.
Islamabad Police says that the situation in the capital is completely peaceful and all roads are open in Islamabad.
Faisalabad's Ghant Ghar and surrounding markets have been closed, workers protested by burning tires at Ghant Ghar Chowk.
In Rawalpindi, PTI activists staged dharna on Murree Road by burning tyres, while several roads in the city including Rangpura area of Sialkot were blocked.
Workers blocked Gujranwala Road and GT Road in Kamonki. PTI workers started reaching the secretariat in Quetta. In Multan too, PTI workers came out on the streets. Sargodha has also been completely shut down.
Apart from this, PTI workers are protesting against firing on Imran Khan's container in Sarai Alamgir, Kasur, Mianwali, Lucky Marwat and Jhelum, where anti-government slogans are being raised.
In Chishtian also, after the unpleasant incident with Imran Khan in Wazirabad, a protest demonstration by Tehreek-e-Insaaf workers is going on at Khatman Nabubat Chowk.
